The festival is held every August to give thanks for a bountiful harvest and celebrate the indigenous traditions of Mindanao.

The month-long celebration kicked off with a large puzzle board completed by the 11 tribal deputy mayors.

Each piece created a visual metaphor representing the intricate, colorful patterns of each tribe, illustrating the harmonious coexistence in the city.

The festival also featured the Pananam sa Kadayawan, a food and products fair; the Gwapa Dabawenya, an all-women fun run; the IronKids Duathlon, and the Ironman 70.3 triathlon.

Magsaysay Park was filled by the city’s harvest crops for the Agri-Fair, which will run until August 31.
