The fight for love, family, and country intensifies as World War II officially erupts in the most important Philippine TV series of 2024, “Pulang Araw.”

Kapuso Primetime Princess Barbie Forteza headlines GMA Network’s groundbreaking family drama as Adelina, First Lady of Primetime Sanya Lopez as Teresita, Pambansang Ginoo David Licauco as Hiroshi, and Asia's Multimedia Star Alden Richards as Eduardo, with Kapuso Drama King Dennis Trillo in a very special role as Col. Yuta Saitoh.

A joyous and loving friendship was shattered following the arranged marriage of Teresita and Hiroshi. Eduardo then sets aside his love for Teresita, while Adelina distances herself from Hiroshi.  They all have suppressed feelings that will soon explode. 

While confronting their strong and passionate emotions for each other, a deafening siren threatens the city of Manila. This marks the unprovoked attack of Japan in the United States on Dec. 8, 1941. 

The American naval base at Pearl Harbor in Honolulu, Hawaii was bombarded by Japan, followed by their brutal attacks on American military bases in the Philippines.
