In 2005, singer, songwriter and guitarist John Vesely – armed with an acoustic guitar and a recording of multi-tracked vocals - released a demo via his MySpace page under the moniker Secondhand Serenade.

Vesely received tremendous support–selling 15,000 copies of his album on his own, and garnering millions of plays on MySpace – making him the No. 1 independent artist for months on the social media platform.

But it was 2008’s groundbreaking single “Fall For You” (from his second release “A Twist In My Story…”) that literally made Secondhand Serenade a household name all over the world.

The song – a timeless anthem of unrequited love. Filipino fans were especially drawn to the anthem and proved to be among his most rabid and loyal followers in the world.

In February this year, Secondhand Serenade created an exciting stir on his social media pages via a throwback post of his music video for the single “Your Call,” while hinting at his return to Manila after more than a decade.
