Mayor Ruffy Biazon uploaded a video of the rider assaulting a traffic enforcer.

Biazon said in Muntinlupa, the Pedestrian Priority Policy is being implemented.

He said the rider sped away but was apprehended by other traffic enforcers. The rider was given a traffic violation ticket. He fought and gave the traffic enforcer a karate kick.

Police officers who were nearby  arrested the rider.

“Kung mayroong nakaka init ng ulo ko, ito ay ang mga taong binabastos, nilalabanan o sinasaktan ang mga person in authority, lalo na kung ginagawa lang naman nila ang kanilang tungkulin. Makakatiyak ang mga taong ganyan na titindigan ko ang ating mga tauhan na nagpapatupad ng batas at disiplina (If there is one thing that makes me angry, it’s people who insult, resist or harm persons in authority, especially if they are only doing their job. I assure these people that I will stand by our personnel who implement the law and discipline),” said Biazon.

Biazon said he visited the rider at the detention facility of the Muntinlupa Police. The rider asked for forgiveness, he said.

A complaint was filed against the rider for direct assault, and resistance and disobedience to a person in authority under Articles 148 and 151 of the Revised Penal Code, Biazon added.
