Police seize P585,000 shabu in 2 operations in Taguig

The Taguig Police confiscated nearly P585,000 worth of suspected shabu and arrested suspects in two operations on Aug. 20.

In Barangay Pinagsama, Taguig, personnel from the Taguig Police Substation 3 arrested alias Tayman/Rex, 45, based on a search warrant issued on Aug. 16 by Presiding Judge Bernard Bernal of the Taguig Regional Trial Court Branch 70.

During the operation, authorities seized 26 grams of suspected shabu valued at P176,800. The suspect is in police custody.

In Barangay Cembo, Taguig, the Taguig Police Drug Enforcement Unit nabbed alias Romark, 39, tagged as a high value individual.

The police seized 60 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of P408,000, P500 bill used as buy-bust money, and six P1,000 boodle money.

The police will file a complaint against the suspect for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
