Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP) National President Reynaldo Tamayo Jr. has disavowed the early release of the administration-backed Alyansa Para sa Bagong Pilipinas' alleged senatorial line-up for the 2025 mid-term elections.

"Nais ko pong linawin sa taong bayan na wala pa pong line-up ang administration para sa mga kandidatong senador," Tamayo said in a statement.

(I want to clarify to the people that the administration has no line-up yet for senatorial bets.)

Senator Imee Marcos, sister of President Marcos and member of administration coalition partner Nacionalista Party (NP), released 12 names on Tuesday night, Aug. 20 am claimed that it was the administration slate for next year.

This followed Monday night's meeting in Malacañang that was attended by the top officials of parties comprising the administration alliance. These parties include the Lakas-Christian Muslim Democrats (Lakas-CMD), Nationalist People’s Coalition (NPC), the National Unity Party (NUP), NP and of course PFP, which is chaired by President Marcos himself.

Tamayo said that during the meeting, the parties allied with Marcos were told to submit their respective list of candidates, with a deadline set on Sept. 15.

"Kaya ang anumang umiikot na listahan ay walang katotohanan (This means that any list circulating isn't true)," he said. Tamayo didn't mention Senator Marcos in his statement.

"Kami ay magbibigay ng anunsiyo ng senatorial line-up ng administration pagkatapos itong mapagpasyahan ng lahat na kasapi ng Alyansa Para sa Bagong Pilipinas," the PFP national president said.

(We will give an announcement on the administration’s senatorial line-up once it is finalized by all the members of the Alyansa Para sa Bagong Pilipinas.)

'Common names'

Meanwhile, NUP President Camarines Sur 2nd district Rep. LRay Villafuerte told reporters in an interview Tuesday that top officials of the allied political parties were being considered for the administration slate.

"Ang presidente ng [NPC] si Tito Soto. So most probably kasama po siya dahil siya presidente po doon (Tito Sotto is the president of NPC. So most probably he's included since he's the president there). Well, Camille Villar is a high-ranking official of the [NP]. Then of course, [Senator] Bong Revilla is a high official of LAKAS and he's running for re-election," he said.

"So yun po yung mga common na napag-usapan eh (So those are the common names being discussed).

"I don't want to pre-empt po kasi (because) I think they're planning to announce the common senatorial lineu-p either Sept. 15 or the third week of September." Villafuerte said.

'Kuryente'

Deputy Majority Leader Iloilo City lone district Rep. Janette Garin, in a press conference, Wednesday, Aug. 21, echoed Tamayo's words in saying that a line-up of administration Senate bets at this point would smack of inauthenticity,

"Baka kuryente yung lumabas kasi sa tingin namin wala pang pinal na napag-usapan," Garin said in reaction to Senator Marcos' list.

(The line-up that was released might not be authentic since we think nothing has been finalized yet.)

Garin said the next step after the submission of names by the parties is the consultation process among the members.
