DAVAO CITY – Special Assistant to the President (SAP) Secretary Antonio Ernesto Lagdameo Jr. lauded the municipality of Sultan Kudarat for its unwavering dedication to the town’s development.

“I extend my heartfelt compliments to the local government unit (LGU) not only for the success of the month-long celebration but more importantly for the sustained growth of the municipality,” Lagdameo said in a speech during its 77th founding anniversary on Sunday, August 18.
The SAP, accompanied by Mindanao Development Authority (MinDA) Chairman Leo Tereso Magno, underscored the collaboration between the national government and the LGUs to uphold peace and stability across the region.
Lagdameo emphasized the administration’s commitment to strengthening ties between national and local governments and hopes that Sultan Kudarat, the recipient of through multiple Seal of Good Local Government awards, will continue to be a vital partner in nation-building and implementing key reforms.
He said President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. has directed them to fortify their ties with the hope that Sultan Kudarat remains steadfast in contributing to the country’s progress and advancing the transformative reforms everyone seeks to achieve.
Lagdameo assured the people of Sultan Kudarat that the national government would continue to support programs aimed at achieving sustainable development, not just within Sultan Kudarat, but for the entire Bangsamoro region.
“As peace is one of the cornerstones of progress, not only in Sultan Kudarat but in the region, I encourage everyone to continue our peace-building efforts, which are crucial in preserving our gains and in attracting more investments and better opportunities for the community,” he said.
Lagdameo and Magno were welcomed by Sultan Kudarat Mayor Datu Tucao Mastura, Vice Mayor Datu Shameem Mastura, and Rep. Sittie Sahara Mastura upon their arrival.
