SANTA Barbara, Pangasinan – The alleged mastermind in the murder of a barangay chairman in Lupao, Nueva Ecija more than a year ago was arrested in Barangay Maronong here on Friday, August 16.

Nueva Ecija police chief Police Col. Richard V. Caballero identified the suspect as Kendrik Tandoc, 46, of Barangay San Isidro, Lupao.
Tandoc, the most wanted person of Lupao, was apprehended on a warrant for murder with no bail recommended in his hideout at 11:45 a.m.
The victim, Reginald Espiritu, was gunned down by four motorcycle-riding gunmen in front of his house on January 24, 2023.
Tandoc is in the custody of the Lupao police.
Meanwhile, police nabbed seven wanted persons in Cabanatuan City recently.
Suspects face cases for violating Batas Pambansa Bilang 22 (bouncing checks law), the Ecological Solid Waste Management Act of 2000, and city ordinance, serious physical injuries, estafa, and acts of lasciviousness.
