Lending collector shot dead in Negros Occidental

BACOLOD CITY – A 26-year-old lending collector was gunned down in Hacienda Paje, Barangay Consing, E.B. Magalona, Negros Occidental on Monday, August 19.

The victim, whose name was withheld, was a resident of Barangay Mansilangan here.

Police Capt. Markelly Laganipa, deputy chief of the E.B. Magalona Municipal Police Station, said the victim was approached by an unidentified person while driving a motorcycle on his way home.

The victim was shot in the back of his head and was declared dead in a hospital.

Laganipa said they already have a person of interest and conducting a thorough investigation to establish the motive.
