Cops net P35-M shabu, marijuana in Cordillera

CAMP DANGWA, Benguet – Police seized shabu and marijuana valued at P35 million and arrested 21 suspected drug pushers in the Cordillera region from August 12 to 18.

The Police Regional Office-Cordillera Regional Operations Division said 142.65 grams of suspected shabu, 6,510 grams of dried marijuana leaves and fruiting tops, 7,700 marijuana seedlings, and 166,100 fully grown marijuana plants worth P35,279,220 were recovered in 40 operations in Abra, Baguio City, Benguet, Ifugao, Kalinga, and Mountain Province.

One suspect, a high-value individual, was caught in Kalinga; six in Mountain Province, 12 in Baguio, and two in Abra.

Suspects, who face drug-related cases, and pieces of evidence are in the custody of arresting units for documentation and proper disposition.
