CEBU CITY – Two persons were killed and another was wounded in three separate shooting incidents rocked this city in a span of seven hours.

The first shooting incident happened at 7:50 p.m. on Monday night, August 19, in Sitio Santo Niño, Barangay Poblacion Pardo where a man died on the spot.
Police said no one from the barangay was able to identify the victim who sustained multiple bullet wounds.
Police added the killing could be drug-related as a pack of suspected shabu was recovered in the victim’s pocket.
At 12:15 a.m. on Tuesday, August 20, a 30-year-old man was fatally shot in Sitio Laguna, Barangay Sambag 1.
The fatality was identified as Leo Cimafranca, a resident of Barangay Pahina Central here.
A witness told the police that before the shooting, the victim had an argument with his wife. A third party was allegedly the cause of the couple’s fight.
Police said that as the couple fought, Leo’s wife ran away, prompting him to chase her.
Police said that as the victim was chasing his wife, a man standing by the road repeatedly shot him.
The third shooting incident happened in Sitio Lawis, Barangay Mambaling past 2 a.m.
The victim, Roldan Racal, was just standing on a road when two men shot him. The victim was taken to the Cebu City Medical Center with a bullet wound in the body.
Police Lt. Col. Janette Rafter, deputy city director for administration of the Cebu City Police Office, said these shooting incidents are being investigated.
