“Malaking tulong itong ating Health Services on Wheels dahil mas mapapabilis ang pagbibigay natin ng serbisyong medikal sa mga nangangailangan lalo na ngayong tayo ay umaahon mula sa epekto ng baha at bagyo. Kasama sa ating programang Walang Tulugan Serbisyo Caravan, ito ay patuloy na bibisita sa inyong mga pang magbigay ng serbisyo kasabay ng mga medical mission para masigurong healthy ang ating mga kababayang Malabueño. Ito ay para sa mga mamayan ng Malabon, at makakaasa kayong nandito kami para patuloy na tumulong sa inyo (This will be a great help to our Health Services on Wheels because we will be able to provide medical services to those in need faster, especially now that we are recovering from the effects of floods and typhoons. Included in our Sleepless Service Caravan program, it will continue to visit your service providers in conjunction with medical missions to ensure the health of our fellow Malabueños. This is for the people of Malabon, and you can count on us to continue to help you),” Mayor Jeannie Sandoval said.
The mobile clinic has x-rays and ultrasound machines that will help address the health concerns of city residents.
The Health Services on Wheels was deployed to Block 45 Covered Court in Barangay Longos as part of the local government’s third Walang Tulugan, Serbisyo Caravan to bring local government services to the residents affected by the flood caused by Typhoon Carina.
The Walang Tulugan, Serbisyo Caravan aims to make local government services like medical missions that offer medical and dental consultations, dental extraction, prenatal/post-natal check, leptospirosis prophylaxis, medicines dispensing anti- dengue spray dispensing, health education, and other programs, clean-up drives in different schools and roads, relief distribution, mobile kitchen, and legal services more accessible to the residents.
As of Aug. 1, about 8,182 Malabuenos were accommodated during the caravan including 1,847 Malabueños who underwent medical, dental, nutrition, and sanitation services, family planning and psychosocial support programs; 90 individuals who received legal, and civil registry consultation support; and 4,542 who received hot meals.
