Lawmen net P80.6-M shabu, marijuana in Cordillera in July

CAMP DANGWA, Benguet – The Police Regional Office-Cordillera seized shabu and marijuana worth P80.6 million in the Cordillera region from July 1 to 31.

Twenty-six suspected pushers were arrested in 78 operations – 51 marijuana eradication, 16 buy-busts, five execution of search warrants, three checkpoints, two service of warrants of arrest, and one police response.

Fifteen were street-level individuals and 11 were high-value individuals.

Seized during the operations were 47.23 grams of shabu, 364,845 fully grown marijuana plants, 2,850 marijuana seedlings, 40,750.05 grams of dried marijuana leaves and fruiting tops, and 20,000 grams of dried marijuana with a total value of P80,604,216.36.

The PRO-Cordillera said these significant achievements underline their unwavering commitment to eradicating illegal drug activities in the region and ensuring the safety and security of the community.
