Sexagenarian drowns on Ilocos Norte river

DINGRAS, Ilocos Norte – A 66-year-old man drowned while fishing on the Padsan River in Sitio Magdalen, Barangay Guererro, this town, on Saturday, August 17.

Woman dies saving 2 drowning minors in Quezon beach

Police identified the victim as Rogelio Domingo of Barangay Madamba here.

Investigation disclosed that Domingo went fishing but failed to return home at about 1 p.m. His live-in partner sought assistance to locate him.

Police found the victim’s body on a deep portion of the Padsan River at 11:45 p.m. His fish net was found nearby.

Domingo was taken to the Dingras District Hospital where he was declared dead due to drowning.
