Elaiza Yulo is excited for the possibility of competing with her brother, two-time Olympic gold medalist Carlos Yulo, in next year’s 33rd Southeast Asian Games in Thailand.

A Palarong Pambansa multi-medalist, Elaiza is looking forward to joining the regional meet and team up with Olympians Aleah Finnegan, Levi Jung-Ruivivar and Emma Malabuyo.
“Masaya po and nakaka-excite din po, kasi ‘yong presence po nila kuya Caloy talagang nakakaboost din po ng morale” said Elaiza after attending a gymnastics clinic which led by Olympians Finnegan and Malabuyo last weekend.
“Masaya po ako kasi nandyan po sila to support and to cheer po,” she added.
With the help of the Gymnastics Association of the Philippines (GAP), Finnegan and Malabuyo shared their knowledge and showcased their skills to aspiring athletes who are dreaming of becoming an Olympian someday.
“Masaya po sila magturo, nakaka-enjoy po, marami po kaming natutunan,” Elaiza continued.
With her superb outings in local and international competitions, Elaiza earned a spot in the national team which includes her older brother Eldrew.
Before her much-awaited campaign in Bangkok, the Grade 10 student of Adamson will have her hands full as she participates in Batang Pinoy and JRC Stars Artistic Gymnastics Championships also set in Bangkok, Thailand.
“Nakaka-excite pero medyo nakakakaba rin po,” Elaiza continued.
“Kasi parang pagpasok ko palang ng senior, SEA Games na po agad kaya nakakakaba din po.”
If everything goes according to plan, the Yulo siblings might join hands as well in the 2028 Los Angeles Games.
