LA TRINIDAD, Benguet – Police seized shabu and marijuana valued at P18 million and arrested 11 suspected drug pushers in the Cordillera region from August 9 to 15.

The Police Regional Office-Cordillera Regional Operations Division said 122.6 grams of suspected shabu, 6,410 grams of dried marijuana leaves and fruiting tops, 6,000 marijuana seedlings, and 82,610 fully grown marijuana plants worth P18,361,208 were recovered in 30 operations.
The most significant operation was conducted in Kalinga where seven removal, buy-bust, and arrest warrant operations resulted in the arrest of two high-value individuals in the illegal drugs trade and destruction of marijuana valued at P12,515,940.
In Benguet, illegal drugs worth P5,129,604 were recovered in 13 eradication and buy-bust operations and execution of search warrants.
In Baguio, five suspected drug pushers were caught in buy-bust operations and confiscated from them was illegal drugs worth P675,556.
The Abra and Benguet police arrested two suspected drug pushers each.
The suspects who face drug-related charges and pieces of evidence are in the custody of arresting units for documentation and proper disposition.
