Bacolod centenarian receives P100,000 incentive

BACOLOD CITY – Another centenarian from this city recently received a P100,000 cash incentive from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) through the city government.

The recipient was Ambrocio Naranja of Purok Villagracia, Barangay Bata.

The Department of Social Serviced and Development (DSSD) and barangay officials turned over the check to Naranja, witnessed by his children and grandchildren.

Early this month, the city government also facilitated the turnover of the same cash incentive to Emilia Henares of Barangay 22 here.

The incentive was pursuant to Republic Act 10868 or the Centenarians Act of 2016. The law entitles all Filipinos who reach 100-years-old to receive a P100,000 cash gift.
