Woman dies after being run over by trailer truck in Paco, Manila

A woman was dead after being run over by a trailer truck at San Marcelino Street, Paco, Manila, the Manila Police District (MPD) reported on Sunday, August 18.

MPD identified the suspect as Rey Lebato, 34.

Police said the victim was around 45 to 50 years old and was wearing a red t-shirt, and white short pants.

According to the MPD Paco Police Community Precinct- Station 5, the incident occurred around 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 16.

It said the truck stopped when the victim suddenly crossed and got stuck between the rear wheels of the truck.

When the truck started again, the victim was slightly dragged a few meters resulting in her death.

The truck driver surrendered and is now facing a charge of Reckless Imprudence Resulting in Homicide.
