Atty. Annette Gozon-Valdes, GMA Network's Senior Vice President for Programming, Talent Management, Worldwide, and Support Group, and President of GMA Films, has been selected to serve as a juror for the esteemed 2024 Asian Academy Creative Awards.

This underscores Gozon-Valdes' commitment in championing creative excellence across the Asia-Pacific region.

A member of GMA Network's Board of Directors since 2000, Gozon-Valdes has played a pivotal role in the Network’s rise as an industry leader. Her diverse leadership roles continue to deliver the Network’s success on both a national and global scale.

As President of GMA Films, she led the production of blockbuster movies such as Let the Love Begin, Moments of Love, the award-winning Firefly, and this year's thought-provoking Cinemalaya Independent Film Festival offering, Balota.

Through GMA Worldwide, she also spearheaded the distribution of the Network's original and innovative programs across five continents, and has licensed over 100 titles, introducing global audiences to fresh, award-winning content via program syndication. These include Lolong (Crocodile Whisperer), Return to Paradise, First Yaya (The First Nanny), and its sequel, First Lady.

Gozon-Valdes’ dedication to showcasing the best in creative talent and storytelling has led to groundbreaking programs such as Encantadia, the live-action adaptation of Voltes V: Legacy, and the historical portal fantasy series Maria Clara at Ibarra.

GMA Network executives who will also be serving as members of the jury in this year’s Asian Academy Creative Awards are its Senior Vice President for Corporate Strategic Planning and Business Development and Concurrent Chief Risk Officer Regie C. Bautista, and Vice President for Drama under its Entertainment Group, Cheryl Ching-Sy.

The 2024 Asian Academy Creative Awards is a prestigious award-giving body that celebrates content creation and media production across the Asian Pacific region. It honors excellence across multiple platforms that include television, feature films, digital, mobile, streaming, and other emerging technologies.
