Driver dies as motorbike crashes into parked truck

SARIAYA, Quezon â€“ A 31-year-old man died after his motorcycle crashed into a 10-wheel truck parked on roadside in Barangay Concepcion Palasan here at dawn on Friday, August 16.

Police identified the victim as Jemar Moreno, 31, a resident of Barangay Cutay, Cariaga, Leyte.

Moreno sustained severe body injuries and was declared dead on arrival at Candelaria District Hospital.

Police said the incident happened at around 3:30 a.m. on Maharlika Highway.

The driver of the truck drove off from the accident site towards Lucena City.
