The Philippine subsidiary of American energy giant Chevron Corporation has beefed up its retail network by bringing into commercial stream 18 new service stations within this year’s first half to reach broader base of customers who are loyal to its Caltex brand.

Chevron Philippines Country Chairman and General Manager Billy Liu emphasized that “opening 18 new Caltex stations in the first half of the year underscores our commitment to grow together with our retailers, while expanding our footprint to continuously provide quality fuels to our motorists across the nation.”

In southern Luzon, the Caltex retail network had been bolstered up with new stations – including the facility sited in Imus, Cavite to serve neighboring cities and municipalities; then another in Alaminos, Laguna which is strategic for the quick fuel fill-up needs of motorists who would be visiting the Hidden Valley Springs in the area.

The newly completed service station in Lemery, Batangas could also serve as a convenient stopover for those who would be on adventure to the enthralling beach resorts or those making their way to the Taal Basilica in Batangas.

Chevron has similarly broadened its retail foothold in Central Luzon with six new stations in Nueva Ecija – primarily in the cities of San Jose and Cabanatuan as well as in Talavera municipality; and that has been complemented by two new stations that also opened in Pampanga and Tarlac.

The Ilocos region likewise served as another bustling expansion site for the company – with it ramping up investment for two new stations in San Juan and Naguilian, La Union, which are also tourist drawers, especially for the surfing enthusiasts.

The Caltex brand is also out to capture new patrons in the Visayas region with the opening of new service stations in Cebu and Bohol – which are both juicy markets in the country’s middle core.

Onward to Mindanao, the American energy firm has further reinforced its service hub with the commercial operations kick-off of its brand new stations in the Davao region as well as  in Zamboanga City.

Tough competition has been reigning in the deregulated downstream oil sector; and customers are not just leaning anymore on the traditional offers of the petroleum service stations, instead, they keep an eye more on the value-added offers of the industry players.
