One of the world’s most iconic basketball courts at the famous Fort Bonifacio Tenement, the unveiling of the court commemorates the arrival of NBA basketball players Julius Randle of the New York Knicks and Terance Mann of the Los Angeles Clippers as part of the brand’s 2024 tour through the Philippines. On this same day, Skechers also donated 100 pairs of SKX Basketball shoes to the local community of Tenement in Taguig City.

Transformed to feature both Terance Mann and Julius Randle donning Skechers Basketball shoes and apparel, the mural represents the future of Filipino basketball, featuring a vibrant color palette that matches the undying passion of basketball fans and players in the Philippines. The mural also integrates motifs inspired by Philippine iconography and national pride with a Philippine Eagle wing emerging from Terance’s basketball, and a weave pattern akin to the textiles present in Indigenous Filipino culture overlaid on Julius’ ball. The design is draped in the colors of the Philippine flag which further drives home the welcoming spirit of Filipinos.

Behind this mural are the Tenement Visual Artists, a dynamic collective renowned for their community-centric murals that go viral around the world, with an art style that fuses urban aesthetics with basketball cultural emblems.
