2 women yield P3 million shabu in Taguig

Two women, tagged as high value individuals, were arrested by the police during a buy-bust operation in Taguig on Aug. 15.

The Southern Police District Drug Enforcement Unit led the operation at about 1:15 a.m. in Barangay Rizal, Taguig.

According to the police, the arrested suspects were alias Arianne, 37, and alias Joann, 19.

The two suspects were previously arrested for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).

During the operation, authorities seized six plastic packs containing suspected shabu, weighing 450 grams with an estimated street value of P3.06 million. Other items recovered were P1,000 used as marked money, 19 pieces of boodle money, and a cell phone.

The police will file a complaint against the two women for violation of Republic Act 9165 before the Taguig City Prosecutor's Office.
