The program is fully supported by the Office of Manila Mayor Honey Lacuna-Pangan together with their benefactor, the organizers and sponsors of MPDL Season 2.

MPDL Season 2 said the distributions are still ongoing. It had its formal opening on August 20 at the San Andres Sports Complex.
The schools were represented by their principals, school heads, and other school officials on Monday, August 12 to accept the second batch of Brigada Eskwela kits.
The distribution activity took place at Florentino Torres High School in Tondo, Manila for schools under Districts 1, 2 and 3 while the distributions for Districts 4, 5 and 6, were conducted at Araullo High School, U.N. Avenue, Ermita, Manila.
The MPDL, a basketball and volleyball league spearheaded by the Office of the Vice Mayor and the Manila Police District, was established in 2023.
Its primary objective is to promote collaboration, communication, and teamwork among the employees of the MPD.
The city government said the league is also a great way to enhance and promote the physical health of policemen, as their physical bodies play an important role in their daily responsibilities as public servants who secure peace and order.
"Overall, this league serves as one of the activities in the Manila Police District that paved the way to increase their productivity in implementing the laws of the land," the MPDL said.
"This all started with the hope and aspiration that we can empower our policemen and women as we keep them healthier through sports. We, the organizers, and along with the supportive sponsors of MPDL, are now paying it forward, for the benefit of the Manileño students who will be the future leaders and lingkod bayan (public servants) of our beloved city,” the MPDL added.
