Double Olympic gold winner, Carlos Yulo, can add a new car to his haul of winnings. The latest to pledge a reward for his historic win is none other than Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP).
TMP made the announcement earlier today, pledging to give Carlos Yulo a brand new Land Cruiser Prado.
“We hope this vehicle helps bring you to greater heights,” the company said.
The blessings don’t end there. Being the global Olympics sponsor, Toyota, through TMP, has also pledged to help Carlos Yulo’s chosen charity.
“As part of Toyota's global Start Your Impossible movement, we are also looking forward to work with you on your chosen advocacy, which is food security especially for children in need.”
Land Cruiser Prado
The Toyota Land Cruiser Prado (LC250) is marketed as a premium SUV, above the midsize Fortuner but below the flagship Land Cruiser LC 300. It goes squarely against the new Ford Bronco and Jeep Wrangler Sport.
It offers a blend of luxury and good off-road capability without stepping up to the full-size Land Cruiser.
It’s powered by a 2.4-liter turbo petrol T24A-FTSl engine, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission, delivers a maximum output of 281-PS at 6,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 430-Nm between 1,700-3,600 rpm. It’s paired with an automatic transmission and four-wheel drive system.
The Prado offers a spacious and luxurious cabin designed to accommodate seven passengers comfortably. The vehicle comes with a starting price of ₱4.8-million.
