Taguig cops arrest construction worker in buy-bust operation

Police arrested a construction worker and confiscated suspected shabu during a buy-bust operation in Taguig on Aug. 13.

The Taguig Police Drug Enforcement Unit conducted the operation in Palar Southside in Barangay Pinagsama.

Southern Police District director Brig Gen. Leon Victor Rosete identified the suspect as alias Justine, 27, construction worker who was tagged as a street level individual by the police.

Seized during the operation were three plastic sachets containing suspected shabu, weighing 17.29 grams valued at P117,572, buy-bust money consisting of two genuine P100 bills and P6,000 boodle money, and a cellular phone used in the transaction.

The police said they will file a complaint against the suspect for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
