SWS: Senate keeps 'very good' satisfaction rating; House, SC maintain 'good' scores

The Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey for the second quarter of 2024 revealed a decline in the net satisfaction ratings of key government institutions, but the Senate retained its “very good” rating, while the House of Representatives and the Supreme Court maintained their “good” ratings.
In the survey conducted from June 23 to July 1, SWS found that 66 percent of Filipinos were satisfied with the performance of the Senate, while 16 percent were dissatisfied.
For the House of Representatives, 60 percent were satisfied, while 18 percent were dissatisfied.
Regarding the Supreme Court, 59 percent were satisfied, while 18 percent were dissatisfied.
The resulting net satisfaction ratings (percentage of satisfied minus percentage of dissatisfied) were classified as “very good” for the Senate (+50) and “good” for both the House of Representatives (+41) and the Supreme Court (+41).
Compared to March 2024, net satisfaction fell by five points from very good +55 for the Senate, four points from good +45 for the House of Representatives, and five points from good +46 for the Supreme Court.
In comparison, the last survey of the Marcos Cabinet as a whole, conducted in December 2023, revealed that 58 percent of Filipinos were satisfied, while 12 percent were dissatisfied.
The resulting net satisfaction rating for the Cabinet was +47, classified as “good.”
Compared to September 2023, net satisfaction rose by six points from good +41 for the Cabinet.
The Second Quarter 2024 Social Weather Survey was conducted through face-to-face interviews with 1,500 adults aged 18 and above nationwide.
