Members of the Bulacan police seized more than P102,000 worth of illegal drugs and arrested eight suspects during a series of buy-bust operations conducted in San Jose del Monte (CSJDM), San Rafael, Pulilan, and Marilao on Tuesday, August 13.
According to the police report, the buy-bust operation in Barangay Sto. Cristo, CSJDM was conducted by the Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) in the city.
Police arrested a 40-year-old man from Barangay Muzon West and two men, 27 and 50 years old, from Barangay Gumaok West, and seized from them four sachets of suspected shabu, valued at approximately P102,000. Authorities also confiscated the buy-bust money used in the operation.
Meanwhile, the Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) of San Rafael and Pulilan conducted separate buy-bust operations which led to the arrest of two suspected drug peddlers and in the confiscation of 10 plastic sachets of suspected shabu and the buy-bust money.
A drug-sting operation was also conducted by the Marilao police in Brgy. Lambakin which resulted in the arrest of three drug suspects who were caught in the act of having a pot session. Confiscated from them were one sachet of suspected shabu; one aluminum foil strip; one piece of rolled aluminum foil tooter, and two pieces of disposable lighter.
The arrested suspects were immediately detained while the confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to the Bulacan Provincial Forensic Unit (PFU) for examination. Criminal complaints for violations of R.A. 9165 against the suspects are now being prepared for filing in court.
