CABANATUAN CITY, Nueva Ecija – Police arrested in Mandaluyong City on Monday, August 12, a 25-year-old man who allegedly robbed a popular convenience store here and killed its manager on Friday morning, August 9.

Police Col. Richard V. Caballero, Nueva Ecija police chief, said the suspect was a former employee of the convenience store.
Investigation said the victim, Ryan de Goma, 26, was inside the store’s stock room when the suspect arrived locked the door.
The suspect stabbed De Goma to death and took the store’s P320,984 earnings before setting computer devices in the stock room on fire.
The suspect escaped through a side access door. Police conducted a follow-up investigation and traced the suspect in Mandaluyong where he was apprehended.
The suspect was arrested for drug trafficking on December 21, 2021 and was allegedly involved in online gambling and deeply in debt.
The suspect is under the custody of the police here and faces robbery with homicide and arson cases.
