OPM singer-songwriter Marion Aunor has released a new song titled "Laruan," released under Wild Dream Records, which addresses individuals who toy with others' emotions.

During an interview in Quezon City recently, Marion also encouraged people to stop playing with others' feelings.

“It’s about people who play with your feelings, ‘yung mga ex mo, or ka-situationship, or ka-talking stage na nang-iwan naman dati kaya lang nung biglang nakitang pa-move on ka na or when they feel lonely biglang they hit you up sa DM, ‘Uy, anong kinakain mo? Uy, how are you and I miss you.

Parang they are just there to enjoy the attention that they’re getting from you pero parang not enough naman to actually commit to you or promise you anything. Play with your feelings lang.

I guess it’s an introvert thing na mas nae-express ko ‘yung sarili through the music.”

Marion courts Grammys

This developed as Marion submitted her song "Nahulog" for Grammy consideration.

‘Yung song na ‘yun up for Grammy consideration meaning puwede siyang maging nominated.

Try lang ng try," she said.

Some people may not know it but Marion is a member of the Recording Academy, the group that presents the prestigious annual Grammy Awards.

As a lifetime member of the Grammys, Marion wields the power to vote in the year's most prestigious event. Her vote shapes the future of the music industry and recognizes the talents of the most deserving artists.

The invites to the Grammys are delivered to their home in the US every year. She was supposed to attend her first Grammy show in 2018 but got sick.

"I applied for a membership because I met someone at the ASCAP EXPO, the songwriting convention I attended last April, who convinced me to join. There were certain qualifications, though. They had to evaluate your music and web presence. Then I found out my application was approved, so I guess I passed their standards?" Marion said as she recalled the story of how she obtained voting membership at the Grammys.

Marion got into showbiz after she finished her studies at the Ateneo de Manila University in Quezon City, where she studied communications management technology.

This year, Marion plans to perform more live performances, both live and online on her YouTube channel. “I’m planning on becoming more active in all aspects of my career."
