The double gold Olympic medalist is also set to be honored at the Manila City Hall on Monday, August 19.

Manila Mayor Honey Lacuna-Pangan said the city council is working on the resolution and expressed hope that it will be ready before Monday.

The city government will be holding a program to fete Yulo and present to him awards and cash incentive amounting to P2 million.

The schedule of Yulo, she said, is quite loaded which is why the awarding has yet to take place on Monday.

Meanwhile, the mayor also said another Manileño, Olympic pole vaulter EJ Obiena, will also be given a cash incentive of P500,000.

However, Obiena's cash incentive will have to be given earlier since he is scheduled to go abroad on Thursday.
