Iloilo City buy-bust yields P1-M shabu

ILOILO CITY – Police seized suspected shabu valued at more than P1 million and arrested a drug pusher in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Bakhaw, Mandurriao District, this city, on Tuesday night, August 13.

The Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO) identified the suspect as alias Bogs.

Bogs was apprehended after he sold a sachet of suspected shabu worth P12,000 to an undercover police officer.

The ICPO-City Drug Enforcement Unit and Mandurriao Police Station recovered a total of 150 grams of shabu from the suspect who was listed as a high-valued individual.

Bogs is facing charges for violating Republic Act No. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

The ICPO hierarchy reiterated its warning to drug peddlers operating here.

“This arrest serves as a strong warning to those involved in illicit drug operations to cease their unlawful activities,” said Police Col. Kim Legada, ICPO director.

“You will be the next target of our operations,” warned Legada.
