Filipino film 'Lolo and the Kid' debuts on Netflix's weekly Global Top 10

The Filipino movie “Lolo and the Kid” debuted on Netflix’s weekly Global Top 10 of the most watched films and TV shows.

According to Netflix, “Lolo and the Kid” entered the non-English films Global Top 10 at No. 4 with 3.5 million views from Aug. 5 to 11.

“Lolo and the Kid” stars Euwenn Mikaell, Joel Torre and Juan Karlos Labajo.

“A hustler and the child he took in routinely con the wealthy — but a life-changing opportunity could end their inseparable bond,” according to Netflix about “Lolo and the Kid.”

"Lolo and the Kid" debuted at No. 1 in the Philippines and Qatar, and placed in the top 10 in Bahrain, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates.

Debuting atop the non-English films list is the Korean action-comedy “Mission: Cross” with 4.5 million views.
