Delaware Philippines tapped for Clark airport system upgrades
Luzon International Premiere Airport Development (LIPAD) Corp. has partnered with Delaware Philippines to modernize and automate the commercial business processes at Clark International Airport (CRK).
In a statement, Delaware Philippines, a global information and communication technologies (ICT) provider, said that the project aims to improve operational efficiency and equip CRK’s management to tackle future challenges effectively.
“The goal of the project is to replace manual transaction recording, primarily done through traditional operations, with an automated system to improve efficiency and decision-making,” Delaware Philippines said.
LIPAD is in charge of running and maintaining CRK. It includes Filinvest Development Corporation, JG Summit Holdings Inc., Philippine Airport Ground Support Solutions Inc., and Changi Airports Philippines (I) Pte. Ltd.
“Delaware Philippines has been a critical partner in our journey, helping us automate our processes and optimize our operations,” Gina Umlas-Gopez, LIPAD, chief finance officer, said.
“This move is instrumental in our efforts to enhance the operational capabilities of CRK cementing our goal of being the Philippines’ premier gateway," she added.
Under the plan, Delaware Philippines will implement SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud or SAP S/4HANA GRO. This encompasses core ERP processes including financial accounting, procurement, inventory management, and real estate leasing operations.
Adopting fit-to-standard best practices increases the efficiency of LIPAD's transaction management and reporting, Delaware Philippines said.
Delaware Philippines stated that the ERP system can support future business growth, automate manual processes to reduce inefficiencies, provide tailored real estate leasing solutions for contract and inventory management, and improve user experience with the intuitive SAP Fiori interface.
“LIPAD's new ERP System powered by SAP S/4HANA is in its first year of use after our successful implementation last December 2023,” Rosette Carrao, delaware Philippines Partner and Delivery Head of delaware Philippines said.
“We are proud to be the one who have successfully implemented this digitalization project and we are proud to also be the one supporting them even now in their day-to-day operations for the system,” Carrao added.
