QC LGU sets up livestock, poultry inspection checkpoints

The Quezon City Veterinary Department had set up livestock and poultry checkpoints across the city in response to recent outbreaks of African Swine Fever (ASF) in various parts of the country.

The checkpoints have been set up in the following areas:
 

-Pearl Drive, Commonwealth

-Kaingin Road, Balintawak

-Mindanao Ave - Tandang Sora Ave.

-Paang Bundok, NS Amoranto La Loma

The city is also in collaboration with the Bureau of Animal Industry to prevent the spread of ASF through cross-contamination in pigs.

According to the local government, the checkpoints will remain until December.

Quezon City remains unaffected by ASF as pig farming is currently prohibited within its jurisdiction.
