Zamboanga del Norte 2nd district Rep. Gloria Labadlabad has advised Vice President Sara Duterte on "real leadership", and told her to stop playing the "blame game".
"Real leadership means offering solutions, not just criticisms,” Labadlabad, chairperson of the House Committee on Inter-Parliamentary Relations and Diplomacy, said in a statement Tuesday, Aug. 13.
“Vice President Sara Duterte’s finger-pointing does nothing to help the country," she said of her fellow Mindanaoan.
Vice President Duterte exited the Marcos Cabinet last July 19 when she left the post of Department of Education (DepEd) secretary. She led the agency for two years.
Almost instantly, she began criticizing the administration of her one-time "UniTeam" partner, President Marcos.
“Her tenure as Education Secretary did not effectively address the root causes of our educational challenges. These unresolved concerns undermine her credibility when she criticizes the Marcos administration,” Labadlabad said.

Critics claimed that under Duterte’s leadership, the DepEd failed to improve teacher training, resource allocation, curriculum updates, and critical thinking development.
These ongoing issues, Labadlabad said, highlight the need for more effective and collaborative effort to achieve educational reforms.
“Everyone in the House is working hard to address our nation’s problems. It’s time for us to end blame game and start leading by example and strive together in finding effective and efficient solutions not fault towards the attainment of a better and progressive nation,” the lady solon said.
