'She's not it': Gutierrez slams 'no credibility' VP Sara for anti-gov't remark
Former Office of the Vice President (OVP) spokesperson and lawyer Barry Gutierrez said Vice President Sara Duterte has “zero credibility” for her criticisms of the government.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Monday, Aug. 12, the former lawmaker shared a report on the analysis of online sentiments that showed Duterte’s recent statements against the Marcos administration received a negative perception.
“Not surprising. She has zero credibility as a government critic after she went on vacation abroad during a calamity, spent P125M in 11 days, complained about having "only" 358 security personnel, and kept silent on WPS and POGO,” he wrote.
The Vice President left for an overseas trip at the height of the onslaught of Super Typhoon Carina, though the OVP claimed that relief aids were distributed to the victims.
He also criticized the official for remaining mum about the West Philippine Sea issue and the controversies surrounding the Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGO).
“‘We deserve better,’ and she's not it,” Gutierrez also wrote.
It was reported that an online sentiment scan by EthOS, a human insights platform, showed 33 percent wanted Duterte to resign shortly after she released a statement saying that Filipinos deserved better amid the shortcomings of the government.
Another 30 percent was critical of the Vice President, while 26 percent said Filipinos deserve a better vice president. Only seven percent was supportive of Duterte’s statements.
In an earlier post, Gutierrez also reposted a news article about the Vice President’s declining popularity following her resignation as Department of Education (DepEd) secretary.
“19 point drop. That's it. That's the tweet,” he said.
According to the latest Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey, Duterte’s net satisfaction rating fell to +44 in June from +63 in March.
Since assuming the vice presidency in 2022, this was her lowest satisfaction rating.
