PDEA nets P9.6-M marijuana in buy-bust

TABUK CITY, Kalinga – A 45-year-old drug pusher was arrested in a buy-bust operation conducted by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in Barangay Bulo here on Sunday, August 11.

The suspect was a native of Barangay Butbut, Tinglayan, this province, according to the PDEA-Kalinga Provincial Office.

Recovered from the suspect were 83 marijuana bricks weighing a kilo each with a total value of P9.9 million.

PDEA-Cordillera Regional Director Laurefel P. Gabales cited operating units for their achievement.

"This is the largest seizure of marijuana through a buy-bust operation that has occurred since the beginning of the year,” he noted.
