According to Antipolo City Mayor Jun Ynares, Rosemarie Danao Cruz was first reported to the city government after being seen wandering around the streets of Barangay Mambugan on July 8 where she was immediately rescued by barangay officials.

She was then brought to the ACHS IV in Barangay Mambugan for medical check-up.

Cruz was then transferred to the National Center for Mental Health where she was diagnosed with dementia or the progressive and persistent loss of intellectual functioning.

"Nang maresetahan ng mga gamot, dinala natin siya pansamantala sa ating Bahay Kanlungan sa Brgy. de la Paz habang hinahanap natin ang kaniyang pamilya (Upon receiving her prescriptions, we brought her to our Bahay Kanlungan in Barangay de la Paz while searching for her family)," Ynares said Monday, August 12.

However, the city government failed to locate Rosemarie's family.

After featuring Rosemarie on the city's official Facebook page, Ynares said the Violence Against Women and Children (VAWC) of Mambugan was able to contact Rosemarie's daughter who is residing in Barangay Gitnang Bayan, San Mateo Rizal.

"Agad tayong nakipag-ugnayan sa MSWD ng San Mateo at inihanda ang ilang dokumento para muli nang makapiling ni Nanay Rosemarie si Raulene (daughter) (We immediately coordinated with the Municipal Social Welfare and Development (MSWD) of San Mateo to prepare the needed documents for Rosemarie and Raulene's reunion)," Ynares said.
