CEBU CITY — Twelve houses were razed and three other structures were damaged in two separate fires that broke out here on Monday, August 12.

The first fire broke out around 12:10 p.m. in Barangay Guadalupe where 12 houses were destroyed, according to the Cebu City Fire Office (CCFO).
Two other houses were damaged in the fire that was put out at 12:59 p.m.
Property damage was pegged at P600,000.
The CCFO said 20 families consisting of 70 individuals were displaced by the fire.
About three hours later, another fire broke out in Barangay San Antonio where a a commercial establishment was damaged.
The fire started at 2:44 p.m. and was contained at 3:05 p.m. Damage to property was pegged at P528,000, the CCFO said.
No one was injured in the two fires whose causes are still being investigated, the CCFO said.
