Teenage girl raped, killed in Isabela

SANTIAGO CITY, Isabela – A 12-year-old girl was raped and killed in Barangay Buenavista here on Saturday, August 10.

Initial investigation disclosed that the victim ran an errand but failed to return home. 

Her aunt searched for her and found the victim’s slippers and her bloodied half-naked body in a vacant lot nearby.

Mayor Sheena Tan-Dy here ordered the police to conduct a thorough probe of the incident.

Dy said police already have a lead in the case following a review of surveillance footages around the area.

Councilor Arlene Jane Alvarez-Reyes here offered a P100,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the suspect.

Dy reminded parents to always look after their children for their safety and security.
