Capiz school superintendent feted with presidential award


ILOILO CITY – The Presidential Gawad Career Executive Service (Gawad CES) was recently awarded to Dr. Miguel Mac D. Aposin, the school superintendent of Capiz province.

“Congrats to our Schools Division Superintendent of Capiz, Miguel Aposin, for having been awarded the Gawad CES Presidential award,” said Secretary Sonny Angara of the Department of Education (DepEd) in a statement.

Aposin received the award from President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. during a ceremony in Malacañang.

“This recognition is a testament to the hard work and dedication of Dr. Aposin in the effective and efficient delivery of basic education services to our learners,” said DepEd-Capiz in a statement.

Aposin was credited for integrating farm school to learners and their communities by “promoting agricultural productivity and rural development by empowering human capital through access to avenues suited to the needs and realities of rural agricultural communities” of Capiz.

“Your stories about the farm schools reverberate,” noted Ramir Barberan Uytico, DepEd Western Visayas regional director.

“I thank you for following in my footsteps,” added Uytico, who was a 2012 Gawad CES when he served as the school superintendent of Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental.
