Vic Sotto on his MMFF film and new endorsement

At 70, life is far from waning for iconic comedian and host "Bossing" Vic Sotto. 2024 is when he charted new beginnings. He began the year with the birth of his baby girl Marceline (a.k.a. Mochi) on Jan. 23, his second daughter with wife Pauleen Luna. He culminates the year by showing his film "The Kingdom" at the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF), where he will star with another heavyweight, Piolo Pascual.
"The Kingdom" is much awaited because Vic hasn't been featured in an MMFF movie for five years, and that's quite a long wait for his fans. What he assures them is that "it will be something different. It's not a comedy, and I have never done something like it."
Vic intimated that he accepted the role of "The Kingdom" because it's challenging, and he will portray a role that the Filipino audience hasn't seen him before. Without elaborating much on the plot, Vic said the movie brings viewers to an imaginary world of monarchy in the Philippine setting before the colonizers arrived. He hastened to add that it's not like "Enteng Kabisote." It's also not like 'Lastikman' which "had a lot of action, comedy and special effects."
To add to his accomplishments for 2024, Bossing Vic was also introduced in July as the first and only official endorser of PlayTime PH, a licensed online gaming entertainment platform.
Playtime Philippines' PR head Jay Sabale noted that Vic was a natural choice to be the face of their digital platform owing to his four decades-long career as a noontime TV show host of the iconic "Eat Bulaga!" where exciting games and contests reigned.
Sabale added, "Bossing Vic symbolizes happiness as he makes people happy. He is also an accomplished TV sitcom star, movie actor, and producer. He is our King of Multimedia Entertainment. His involvement with Playtime will enable us to expand our online presence."
Vic admitted that he learned a lot about being tech-savvy from his millennial wife, Pauleen, and he accepted his latest endorsement after consulting her. "It is truly heartwarming and a privilege to continue my mission to bring fun, entertainment, and happiness in the daily lives of Filipinos anytime and anywhere through the digital interface of PlayTime.”
For those seeking to be entertained by online games, Vic dispensed some advice: game responsibly and share your luck and blessings.
"Alam naman natin ang mga Pilipino, mahilig sa masayang laro. Sa mga ka-Playtime natin , ang importante enjoy lang kayo at game responsibly. At wag kalimutang i-share ang swerte," Bossing Vic said in a recent video production where he was joined by PlayTime executives to brainstorm on how they can further elevate the online gaming experience to benefit playing enthusiasts.
Playtime offers about 2,500 games on its platform, with guaranteed high cashback of up to 2 percent and guaranteed withdrawal in 10 minutes. Newcomers receive a free bonus worth P3,875.
PlayTime recently partnered with Binibining Pilipinas Charities, Incorporated (BPCI) and sponsored the illustrious 60th Binibining Pilipinas pageant. Samantha Viktoria Acosta of Bulacan province was named the first Playtime Binibini after garnering the most online votes. PlayTime is easily accessible via GCash, Maya, and its official website.
