House Speaker Martin Romualdez has cited the significance of his rising survey numbers, particularly in Mindanao, which is the bailiwick of the Duterte family.
Pointing to the results of the latest Social Weather Stations (SWS) Survey, Romualdez said he felt 'deeply humbled and encouraged".
"I am deeply humbled and encouraged by the latest Social Weather Stations survey, which shows a significant rise in public satisfaction with my performance as Speaker of the House of Representatives," he said.
Romualdez, Leyte's 1st district representative, was quick to share the accolade to the rest of the 300-plus strong chamber.
"The 16-point increase in net satisfaction, now at +29, is a testament to the collective dedication of my colleagues in the bigger chamber. This progress reflects not just my leadership but the exemplary efforts of our members in driving the legislative reforms our country urgently needs," he said.
Reflecting on the figures, Romualdez couldn't help but comment on the improvement in satisfaction numbers down south.
"The improvement across various demographics and regions, particularly in Mindanao and among our 35-44-year-old constituents, underscores that our initiatives are resonating with the Filipino people," he said.
"As we move forward," the Speaker said, "I remain committed to upholding the trust and confidence the Filipino people have placed in me."
"This survey is not just a measure of approval but a powerful reminder of my responsibility as a public servant," Romualdez said.
He further vowed to "continue to focus on policies that drive economic growth, social justice, and national development, ensuring these benefits reach every Filipino, especially those most in need".
