Malolos government earns Plaque of Merit at BJMP's anniversary

The City Government of Malolos was honored with a Plaque of Merit for its unwavering support for the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology Regional Office III’s successful implementation of Safekeeping and Development Programs.
The award was presented at the Orchid Gardens Resort Complex, Lazatin Boulevard, Barangay San Juan, City of San Fernando Pampanga, on Thursday, August 8, during the 33rd Anniversary of the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP).
The ceremony occurred under the inspiring theme "Makatao, Maka-Diyos na Serbisyong Publiko Tungo sa Maunlad, Maayos at Progresibong Pagbabago".
Rommel Santiago, Executive Assistant II from the City Mayor’s Office, and Jail Chief Inspector Edwin G. Bulatao, Warden of Malolos City Jail, received the recognition on behalf of the city.
Malolos City Mayor Atty. Christian D. Natividad expressed his gratitude for the recognition and reiterated his administration's commitment to continuing its support for the BJMP's programs.
He emphasized that this award is a testament to the strong partnership between the City Government of Malolos and the BJMP in ensuring the safekeeping and development of persons deprived of liberty.
"Ang parangal na ito ay simbolo ng ating patuloy na pagtutulungan upang matiyak ang kaligtasan at pag-unlad ng bawat isa sa ating komunidad (This award is a symbol of our continued cooperation to ensure the safety and development of everyone in our community)," Natividad said.
The event was graced by the presence of PATROL Party List Representative Jorge "Patrol" Bustos, and Gawad Filipino Heroes awardee.
A key highlight of the program was the recognition and conferment of awards and decorations to outstanding BJMP personnel and units, acknowledging their exemplary performance in the field of jail service and operations.
