27 wanted persons nabbed in Cordillera

LA TRINIDAD, Benguet – The Police Regional Office-Cordillera nabbed 27 wanted persons in the Cordillera region from August 2 to 8.

The PRO-Cordillera Regional Investigation and Detective Management Division said the Benguet Police Provincial Office arrested 11 wanted individuals, followed by the Baguio City Police Office with nine, Abra PPO with five, and the Apayao and Ifugao PPOs with one each.

Six were top most wanted persons – three on the provincial and three on the municipal level.

Seventy municipalities recorded zero crime incidents, 26 in Abra, 12 in Benguet, 10 in Mountain Province, nine in Ifugao, seven in Apayao, and six in Kalinga.

The Baguio City Police Stations 1 and 7 were crime-free.

The region logged 60 percent drop in the peace and order indicator (POI) and a 0.63 percent reduction in the average weekly crime rate compared to the same period last year.

Police had a 25 percent crime clearance efficiency and a 20 percent crime solution efficiency.
