Operatives of the Manila Police District (MPD) arrested two men after they forcibly stole an Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) from the Office of the Vice President (OVP) Extension Office, the MPD reported on Saturday, August 10.
Police identified the suspects as Joseph Fuentes, 26, and Michael Ronda, 44, residents of Tondo Manila.
Based on the police report, at around 8 p.m. on August 8, the suspects unplugged and took the UPS worth P5,000 and two tactical flashlights worth P200 each from the OVP office.
Meanwhile, officers patrolling the area noticed the disturbance, intervened, and successfully apprehended the suspects.
Police confiscated the stolen UPS and two flashlights from the suspects.
The suspects will face charges for violating Article 302 of the Revised Penal Code (Robbery in Uninhabited Place), police said.
