Korean actor Kim Ji Soo supports relief efforts for people affected by habagat, Typhoon Carina

Korean actor Kim Ji Soo showed his solidarity and compassion when he joined a relief operation organized by the GMA Kapuso Foundation and news and public affairs program "Dapat Alam Mo!" to aid those affected by habagat (southwest monsoon) and Typhoon Carina in the Philippines.

Kim Ji Soo, known for starring in Korean dramas and, recently attended the GMA Gala 2024 where he bagged the Red Carpet Scene Stealer award.

He expressed that this was his first time witnessing the aftermath of flooding in the Philippines. Despite the challenges posed by habagat and typhoon, he chose to stay and lend a helping hand, showcasing his dedication and empathy for those in need.

He volunteered to assist in the relief efforts, distributing essential goods and school supplies to the affected families in San Juan.

The actor took the opportunity to engage with the community, especially focusing on the children who are preparing to return to school despite the calamity they just faced. He expressed deep sympathy for the children and their families as well.

The event's highlights were captured and shared online by Sparkle GMA Artist Center and GLXY Entertainment, showcasing Kim Ji Soo's dedication and the positive impact of his involvement.

The video footage showed the joy and hope he brought to the affected families, further solidifying his reputation as a compassionate and caring individual.
