Mayor Honey urges barangay officials to attend seminar on pension release

Manila Mayor Honey Lacuna-Pangan urged all concerned barangay officials in the city to attend a seminar about the guidelines on social pension release.

In a memorandum, Lacuna-Pangan said that all barangay chairpersons and treasurers are requested to attend the seminars scheduled on July 11.

The seminars will be conducted by the city government jointly with the Department of Social Welfare and Development-National Capital Region (DSWD-NCR).

Lacuna-Pangan said they will tackle the processes in the release of undertaking, cash-out, pay-out and liquidation of social pension under the DSWD-NCR covering the months of January to July 2024.

She said the seminar for Districts 1, 2 and 3 will take place on July 11, from 9 a.m. to 12 pm, and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. for Districts 4, 5, and 6.

The seminars will be held at the San Andres Sports Complex in Malate, Manila.

Barangays with no social pensioners are allowed to not attend the scheduled seminars.
