Suspect in Bacoor hotel murder collared in Albay

The suspect involved in the murder of a woman in a hotel in Bacoor City, Cavite, was arrested in a hot-pursuit operation in Ligao City, Albay.

Bacoor City Police Station (CPS) said a murder case has been filed against the suspect, identified as alias “Romeo,” at the Bacoor City Prosecutor’s Office on Monday, July 8.

On July 3, a woman was found dead inside a hotel room after the man she checked in with fled the crime scene. A knife was also found at the crime scene.

Bacoor CPS assigned a dedicated tracker team to focus on the investigation. The team found the suspect in Albay with the help of information provided by a confidential informant.

In coordination with Ligao CPS, Bacoor CPS operatives apprehended the suspect on July 6. He is currently detained at the Bacoor City Custodial Center.

In a statement, Bacoor CPS chief Lt. Col. John Paolo V. Carracedo said the successful arrest of the suspect was made through the cooperation of the community and assured that justice would be served for the victim and her family.
